Whether you fly your geek flag high (it’s okay, we do!) or you’re just now figuring out that whole Facebook thing, the folks at Centresource are throwing another one of their monthly shindigs this evening that you probably shouldn’t miss. Besides the free Yazoo and snacky things, these monthly interactive mixers have become one of our favorite places for networking and staying on top of what’s going on in Nashville’s lively tech community. And, you could be the next winner of the two most prestigious (and ridiculous) awards in town–The Golden Kraut and the Silvery Beans:
Golden Kraut is more than a can of Kraut radiating a golden hue as if reflecting the brilliance of the Sun. It’s a symbol – a beacon of unity, hope, and love. It’s been said that people who are awarded the Golden Kraut instantly understand — but cannot enunciate – the path to world peace and everlasting happiness.
Silvery Beans represent the ultimate source of cool – that “je ne se quois” only understood by Chuck Norris, Tom Selleck, Marilyn Monroe, Vin Diesel, Pat Benatar, and David Lee Roth. The Silvery Beans are a monument to grace under pressure, a cool unaffectedness, and the embodiment of style points.
Silliness aside, if you’ve been waiting for an un-awkward way to get your feet wet with the local tech community, this is a great place to start. The mixer will be happening tonight at Centresource’s castle office in Germantown from 5-8pm. Check out the invite for details and to RSVP.
