I agree with David, who is also probably not wearing a shirt. Blogs simply allowed this truth to flow to the top of our country's consciousness, although every Hubris MegaPectorus (Latin for Nashvillian) has known this since the logs of Fort Nashboro were muscled into place.

Our desire to do incredible manly things date back to when we first built the marvelous Fort Nashborough on our fair river. (1779)

According to science (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Nashboro) "corn whiskey was the remedy for all health problems...Animal skins and hides supplemented their wardrobes."

If that isn't Nashville, I don't know what is.
