This Just In: Lisa Hannigan At The Belcourt On March 11

You’ve probably heard Lisa Hannigan, even if you don’t recognize her name. Fans of Damien Rice will probably recognize her as the female vocal on most of his music from 2001-2007, or those who saw Jason Mraz live in 2008 might remember her from the show. And even if none of that rings a bell, she’s collaborated with a ton of people – from Herbie Hancock to The Frames to Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol. Despite contributing to a bunch of great artists’ music, we hadn’t heard much solo stuff from Lisa until late last year, when she released her debut album, Sea Sew. Sea Sew is only available overseas and at digital retailers, but will see a U.S. release on February 3rd.

Lisa is hitting Nashville on March 11 at the Belcourt, toward the end of her first headlining U.S. tour. Tickets are $16.50, and we’re way more excited than we should be. You can bet on it – Next time she plays in Nashville, it won’t be so cheap.
