Bright & Early: This Day In History Edition
Good morning, Nashville. So today’s the day, huh? We’re having a tough time tearing ourselves away from the inauguration coverage long enough to peruse the local headlines, so we’re going to keep it short this morning. Happy Inauguration Day!
- MLK day. Hundreds of Nashvillians turned out for the MLK march down Jefferson Street yesterday, which for some, led up to the day of community service called for by the incoming Prez.
- Yikes. The word on the street is that, yes, Tim McGraw is totally planning on running for governor on the Democratic ticket. We don’t really know whether to laugh or cry.
- Bits & pieces. People are predicting we’re going to lose 15K jobs in Tennessee next year, bringing our unemployment rate to a cool 7.4% … One of the Tennessean woman who was on the plane that crashed last week gives her harrowing first-hand account … What is this about the Preds being booed off the ice after sucking it up against the Thrashers this weekend?
