Talk about a blast from the past! Remember that time when 80,000 people turned out to see a bunch of crazy people with crazy flying machines try to “fly” a few hundred feet into the nasty Cumberland River? That shining moment in Nashville’s history where we actually broke the U.S. record for the biggest Flugtag crowd EVER? Maybe you weren’t here in 2007, and that’s why we’re thrilled to share this photo by 00accord4cyl that reminds us of one of our favorite days in Nashville.

I remember it being miserably hot out there that day, and my wife and I actually left before the flying banjo set the new world record. We each chugged 1 liter of water at the closest gas station that wasn't packed with Flugtag viewers (had to go to 8th and Wedgewood).

I remember it being an interesting adventure. It was so hot outside that people were literally passing out from heat exhaustion left and right. I have never sweat so much in my life just by standing in a crowd. It was quite gross. We too had to leave early and missed the last half of the show becuase of the miserable heat.
