Ice Storm Of Aught-Eight [Everybody Panic]

We’re not sure how the weather took such a turn for the worse this morning after a downright balmy Sunday. Either way, we’re sitting here watching the growing list of school systems that are shutting down early today in preparation for the looming ice storm that’s set to hit parts of the midstate overnight. So far, it looks like Davidson, Rutherford, and Williamson counties might make it out pretty much unscathed, but with the right conditions, we may have another snow day on our hands. Like any respectable Tennesseans, be sure to make a panicked run by the grocery store after work to clear the shelves of bread and milk. This one could be a doozy!

(And in all seriousness, drive safe out there!)

I don't know, if you had lived through the ice storm of the 90's, it wouldn't seem so bizarre. My mom was 3 weeks without power!
