Good morning, Nashville. We think it’s safe to say that Preds captain Jason Arnott is having kind of a rough year. After a hefty collision in the first period of last night’s game, he had to be carted off the ice on a backboard to be checked out at the Vandy Medical Center. This comes only about a month after his Brentwood house burned down. The good news is, he was well enough to make it back to the arena before the game was even over. The bad news is, the Preds still lost.
- Jackpot? The IRS still owes us–the fine citizens of Tennessee–upwards of about $5 million. They’ve published a 151-page list of names broken down by county, so if you find your name on there, please go collect your check!
- It’s that time again. Between the cold weather and the crappy economy, Nashville’s homeless shelters are feeling the hurt. If your church would be up for hosting Room In The Inn, you can find more info on that here. If you’re interested in individual opportunities, they need that too.
- Bits & pieces. Early voting for Davidson County’s English Only special election begins January 2nd … PSA: Miley Cyrus is NOT DEAD … This time, it was the officer caught speeding … MTSU students are understandably kind of freaked out by the rash of shootings and terrorist activity on campus.
