Bright & Early: One More Day Edition

Good morning, Nashville. After months and months of nonstop campaigning, I think we can all agree that we’re suffering from election fatigue. We’re trying not to be too bitter about our state not being “battleground” enough for the campaign trail, but at least John McCain is showing us a litte last-minute love. Sen. McCain will be at the Tri-Cities Regional Airport in East TN town of Blountville at 11:45 this morning. Okay, so it’s not much, but we’ll take what we can get.

  • Titans continue streak. In case you missed it somehow, the Titans defeated the Packers this weekend to bring their record to a respectable 8-0. Sunday’s game was bittersweet, though, after a 22-year old fan fell off the pedestrian bridge to his death.
  • Tax dollars for Bible Park. So not only is Lebanon probably getting stuck with the illustrious Bible Park USA, but they’re considering tax incentives that they hope will seal the deal. You know, public money. Needless to say, some folks in Wilson County are none to pleased.
  • Bits & pieces. It’s not just us–our commute times really are getting longer … The new Sounds owners are going to be working really hard to woo us over the next couple of months … The yellow-shirted black-shorted arsonist strikes again … A construction crew accidentally cut some phone lines in Green Hills and some folks still don’t have service.
