Houses Of Shame: Metro Exposes Messy People [Just Weird]

We all have one–That one neighbor who can’t seem to keep the junk out of their yard, doesn’t mow the grass, and perhaps has something unusual parked in front of the house. Metro Health and Public Works has decided to take the problem into their own hands with a new television program called “Shame On You,” which airs on Channel 3 (you know, the one with the Metro Council meetings) whenever time allows.

Throughout the week, Metro collects tips and photos from Davidson County residents of the messiest properties around town and slaps them up on the TV for all to see, including this message along with the pictures: “Do you know who owns this property at [address]? This property is a violation of Metro Code. Shame on this property owner!” They say that the program has been embarrassing enough that it seems to be working, but we still think it’s a little weird.

Ha! Looks like it was somewhere in California. I kind of wish it was around here so it could end up on Channel 3, though.
