Good morning, Nashville. It looks like we might finally get our new sidewalks and bike lanes after all. Metro Public Works has finished up creating the new guidelines for where all of them should go, and now they’re trying to set the priorities to determine who will get them first. As far as we’re concerned, it can’t happen soon enough.
- Click, click, click! We talked a little bit about Second Harvest yesterday, and this morning they’re saying that they’ve got a real food shortage on their hands. If you’re up to it this week, think about donating a few cans of your own or even take some time to Click for Cans over at Campbell’s Chunky since the Titans are in second-to-last place.
- Funny money. Be sure to keep an eye out for counterfeit cash making its way around the Midstate. There have been several incidents near Columbia and all around the region, and police are telling us to be on the lookout.
- Bits & pieces. Racing at the Fairgrounds isn’t dead after all … Metro’s really going to work on the truancy problems. They promise! … They’re also facing some tough times ahead with the budget cutbacks, just like the rest of the world … Greenpeace is trying really hard to get Rep. Jim Cooper on their side.
