Fall Favorites In Nashville?

October 13, 2008 1:25 PM 16 comments

Well, it’s officially fall in Nashville, which we know by looking at the leaves on the ground and NOT judging by the temperature for the past week. We’re in the mood for pumpkin carving, corn mazes and apple picking (so dang it, Nashville, cool off).  We have a few favorite fall spots of our own, but we’d like to poll our readers:

What’s your favorite autumn tradition in or around Nashville?

We’ll round up our own favorites along with some reader favorites at the end of the week and pass them along for everyone to enjoy!

Ghouls at Grassmere, hands down. Loads of fun to go and even better to volunteer to work it.

Oktoberfest/Germantown Street Festival last weekend was a blast (VERY hot, but also very fun)!

Also, hiking at Radnor Park gives a great view of the fall colors.

We went and yes, VERY hot… but an impressive (two) festival(s)!

Good call on Radnor. Any other favorite hiking spots?

    No love for fall? Sad!

Is it fun for adults too? It seems awesome, but geared at younger children or families. Volunteering is a great idea though.

Its definitely geared for kids, but its a fun way to release your
inner-child. Went there on a date once, and believe it or not, she had a
    great time!

umm, corn mazes, since it rained and didn't frost this year it will be tall enough to be actually be fun for people over 4ft tall.
