I can't help but wonder sometimes what people like the woman pictured above where like when things were fine in their lives - when they had a job, a home, a family - just like the rest of us. Then I imagine myself looking old and dirty, sorting my meager belongings under a bridge thinking about when I mattered. We're all one accident, one job, one hospital stay away from sorting it all out in the street.
