- Some of you may not be reading this until 8pm because you made the unfortunate decision to crawl home on I-65N where a semi overturned this afternoon and sent commuters into traffic hell. The truck also spilled some precious fuel across the interstate, which people immediately tried to scrape off the road and dump into their gas tanks. Okay, no one really did that. [Tennessean]
- But maybe they should have since the gas station lines probably won’t be dying down until the end of the week. [Tennessean]
- And because we’re seeing the worst gas shortage in the southeast, which we’ll take to mean that someone’s actually admitting there was a shortage and that we weren’t just making stuff up. [WKRN]
- And apparently some folks actually got to stay home because of this mess, though we’re not exactly sure who those people are because it definitely wasn’t us. [WKRN]
- Unrelated, despite a net gain of over 3,000 jobs last month, our unemployment rate has finally reached 7% making Tennessee the 7th worst state in the country for finding a job. [WSMV]
