- The fingerprints of Elvis, one of the most famous Tennesseans ever, went for nearly $82K at an overseas auction yesterday. Apparently there are some big Elvis fans on the other side of the pond. [WSMV]
- It looks like there’s a McCain rally and debate party in the works since a group filed a request to rent out Riverfront Park on October 6th and 7th. Metro has basically approved it already, and even John McCain himself is slated to make an appearance. [Tennessean]
- Two units of the Tennessee National Guard got the news that they’re being shipped off to Iraq in October making around 13,000 Tennessee troops deployed since 2001. [WSMV]
- Good news for everyone out in Gallatin: Starting September 29th, RTA is starting up a commuter bus running from your part of town to downtown Nashville for $3.50 one-way or $60 for 20 rides. [Tennessean]
