  • Okay, for real this time–English First will not be on the ballot in November. As it were, the Davidson County Election Commission has proven that it’s capable of doing something other than losing our Social Security numbers and voted down the measure today 3-2. [WTVF]

  • Monday Tuesday evening shocker: Another Nashville cabbie protest is set for tomorrow afternoon at 1pm by the Metro courthouse. [WSMV]
  • While Gov. Bredesen is off pimping Belmont at the DNC in Denver this week, we can’t forget about former Senator Bill Frist, Rep. Marsha Blackburn, and former presidential hopeful Fred Thompson, who are all slated to speak at the GOP convention in Minnesota. [Tennessean]
