Bright & Early: Going Batty Edition

Good morning, Nashville. We knew the Sounds were having a bad season, but we didn’t realize it was on track to be the worst one in franchise history. With just 14 games left in the season, they’re going to have to pull off 10 wins if they want to dodge that milestone. We’ve always been glass-half-full kind of people, but we’re having a hard time being optimistic about this one. Nashvillest wishes them the best in the final stretch, though.

  • Don’t tase me, bro! Metro police are rolling out a new kind of Taser that will have a camera on it to add more accountability to the weapon. And WSMV would like to remind you that there could be 120 of them on the streets at any given time.
  • Georgia loses. It turns out that the Georgians didn’t really find Bigfoot after all and were just making stuff up. It was actually just a rubber gorilla suit frozen in a block of ice. Nice try, guys, but you still can’t have our water.
  • Bits & pieces. Metro schools are finally starting to publicize the option for parents to send their kids to other schools due to Metro’s failure to meet the No Child Left Behind standards … Councilman Crafton withdrew another controversial measure that would have imposed a special fee for immigrants to use government services, but plans to refile … New developments keep rolling in about what’s now being called “Bredesen’s Watergate.
