• We’re way happy to say that little Brittney Simpson, the 12-year old who was shot in the head last month by her 11-year old friend, started school with the rest of the kids today at LaVergne Middle School. What a champ. [WKRN]
• The Nashville cabbies were at it again, once again holding a protest outside of the Metro Courthouse this morning. Actually they called in sick and then they held the protest. Hopefully no one needed a cab today. [WTVF]
• Pacman can’t seem to get rid of his Franklin mansion to save his life. Though he originally bought it for $1.5M, the highest bid is now at $1.1. And apparently George Jones is eying the property, too. [WKRN]
• The Tennessean tells a weird tale about how Isaac Hayes and TN Speaker of the House Jimmy Naifeh bonded over Naifeh’s annual “Coon Supper.” ….We can’t make this stuff up. [Tennessean]
