Happy Hour: But Where Are Our Ducks?

  • Cool Springs will be getting a little swankier when Westin Hotel moves in. The plans were approved today and they hope to have it open to guests by 2010. We’re still holding out for the Peabody. [Tennessean]
  • Police discovered a “tent city” out in Lebanon earlier this week with a garden, some farm animals, and a couple of tents. [WSMV]
  • We have a few more details on the Wilson County Bible Park proposal, which was presented by developers today at Lebanon City Hall. They want to build it near the I-40 and Hwy. 231, and they’re saying it could bring in as much as $1M to the local economy. [WMSV]
  • The TBI is saying that murders went down 10% from 2005 to 2007. [WKRN]
  • You won’t be seeing the Killer Texan Jalapeños on Kroger’s shelves any time soon. No one’s actually sure whether the veggies are tainted, but better safe than sorry. [WSMV]

I'm staying in a Westin right now. They're nice but I wouldn't call it swanky. If we landed their sister hotel, “W,” that would be a step up. Westin's are just another Marriott type.
