While everyone was worried about TVA poisoning North Carolina, it sounds like they’re doing an even better job of spraying pollutants around Middle Tennessee. Reports are now showing that we’re breathing particles from not one, but three TVA plants. Apparently the pollutants can get lodged in our lungs. Think about that the next time you see the smog.

• More drug busts. Vanderbilt police busted up a marijuana-growing operation in a house on Edmonson Pike, confiscating 60 pounds of pot.
• Anywhere but here. Country singer Chris Cagle is off the hook for the domestic violence charges filed against him by his girlfriend earlier this summer. They’d allegedly gotten into a physical altercation in which she whacked him with an umbrella and he hit her with a purse. When it came time for said girlfriend to testify, she took the Fifth.
• Bits & pieces. Brentwood man harvests wind energy and sells it … Electric scooters hit the streets of Nashville, saving as much as $2,000 per year on gas … Former Nashville School of the Arts student eliminated from So You Think You Can Dance … As predicted, the meeting about the proposed May Town Center was packed to capacity.
