Nashville Is Reads: Say What?

Coming soon to a telephone pole near you… Nashville Is Reads. Nashville Is Reads tags itself “an outdoor literary journal.” Local publication Keyhole Magazine will partner with the existing Baltimore Is Reads to post pages of poetry on common objects – light posts, shopping carts, park benches and abandoned houses – around town. Baltimore Is Reads has been plastering Baltimore with outdoor poetry since 2006, and they describe their mission simply:

The objective is to inspire readers with startling, prescient poetry, but the journal also seeks to mark a counterpoint to the blitzkrieg of advertisements that are an unavoidable part of city life.

Nashville Is Reads will begin with the new summer edition, so watch for random poetry to begin appearing soon.
