Happy Hour: The Heart Of America

  • Cindy McCain will be making an appearance in Nashville tomorrow to relate to the American people and all that. She’ll be riding a pace car around the racetrack for the Firestone 200 Indycar Race out in Lebanon. We’d love to see that. [Post Politics]
  • Over 200 crazy folks turned out at the Green Hills Mall Apple Store to buy the new iPhone 3G that hit the shelves at 8am. The best part of this article is probably the Apple sheep vs. PC sheep discussion that takes place in the comments. [Tennessean]
  • The guy who posted all the Williamson County students’ social security numbers all over the internet has predictably resigned, effective immediately. [WTVF]
  • We guess we can admit that CMApocalypse 2008 was sort of a good thing since it apparently brought in $22M of visitor spending for the city. All those new tube tops and cowboy hats add up! [Tennessean]

The Nashvillest was just reporting news, I don't think they are labeling "sheep" one way or another.

That being said, people are like sheep.
  • In that context that is. The word otherwise, I'm ok with.
  • I find the word sheep highly offensive.
