Happy Hour: Naked Tuesdays

  • A skinny-dipping couple almost ruined a few million gallons of drinking water when they decided to take a swim in a Portland, TN reservoir. We’re thinking they were just trying to keep Georgia from stealing it and probably thought they were doing the state a favor. [WSMV]
  • Speaking of naked folks, the lead singer of the Nashville band Th’ Legendary Shack Shakers flashed a whole audience of teens and parents at Rocketown over the weekend. Lame! [Tennessean]
  • As more low-income Nashvillians are strapped for cash and unable to pay their sky-high electric bills, the Metro Action Commission has opened up a new site in South Nashville to help people out with their payments. The waiting lists are long, though, the funds are limited. [WTVF]
  • The Loveless Cafe, ever popular amongst the tourists, is building a huge 6,000 square-foot event center next door that looks like a barn. They plan on hosting both public and private events in the venue, which should be able to seat 200 to 300 people. [WKRN]

The skinny dippers were in Portland, Oregon, not Portland, TN--at least... according to the story at the link you provided.

Which is disappointing, because swimming in your own water supply sounds so perfectly Portland, TN.

Any chance the article in the link has a typo?
