Happy Hour: That Stinks

  • MTA confirmed that as of July 1, bus fares will be up to $1.60 and five routes (plus Night Owl service) will be discontinued. No. 1 Vine Hill, No. 13 Sylvan Park, No. 16 Madison/Old Hickory, No. 31X Harpeth Valley and No. 45X Oak Hill Express are the affected routes. [City Paper]
  • Hundreds of dogs, plus some cats, birds, cows and horses were removed from a “puppy mill” in Hickman County – the largest raid of its kind in Tennessee history. 101 Dalmations, anyone? [WSMV]

  • How are we making plans to become the Greenest City but yet cancelling bus lines and night services? Granted, I understand that becoming 'Green' is more about cleaning up the sewage centers and such but the lack of public transport focus in Nashville is troubling at best.
