Bright & Early: Color Us Puzzled Edition
Good morning, Nashville. There were some changes finally announced yesterday in Metro Nashville Public Schools to fend off a probable state coup that could happen if they can’t get their act together. In addition to lots of changes being made to the departments, they’ll be putting some extra personnel into place: Namely, some more assistant superintendents and associate assistant superintendents. Sounds like it could get a little confusing, but then again they still don’t have a superintendent for the assistant superintendents and the associate assistant superintendents to assist. All this talk almost, almost makes us miss Pedro. Confusion aside, though, the changes seem to be going over well.
- Happy endings. A 3-year old girl wandered off from her East Nashville home yesterday was finally returned home safely. She was found walking around near Rosebank and Riverside drives by herself before police found her and tracked down her mom.
- If we ran the zoo. The Nashville Zoo is panhandling for $5M from the city for improvement and expansion of the grounds, which they say they’re outgrowing. Not that we don’t love a good zoo trip every now and again, but we can’t exactly forget about everything else that’s been sliced from the budget lately.
- Bits & pieces. Portland distribution plant closing and putting 148 people out of a job … Guy in LaVergne caught with a whopping 637 hits of LSD … Police find a gun in Maplewood student’s car … Titans make major changes to tight end position.
