Nashvillest Favorite: Ellie’s Run For Africa

There are a lot of 5K runs in Nashville, but Ellie’s Run For Africa is our favorite. It benefits a good cause (helping students and families in poverty-stricken parts of Africa), it has a cool story (it all started with a 10 year old and big idea) and it’s more than just a 5K. There’s a kids fun run, games, music, and other fun activities. We always go even though we don’t run (told you we were lazy). Join us for the 5th year of Ellie’s Run at Percy Warner Park this Saturday at 7:30am (registration starts at 6:30, or you can register online). And here’s a little extra nudge for you American Idol fans who need an excuse to get out of bed that early – hometown hero Melinda Dolittle will be the Master of Ceremonies this year.
